If you’re in Eustis and craving a place that knows how to serve great food, cold drinks, and plenty of fun, The Troff is a spot that never disappoints. This local favorite has that easygoing Florida bar-and-grill feel — friendly people, hearty portions, and just the right amount of energy to make it a great night out.
We stopped in for dinner and drinks, and John J took excellent care of us. The service was quick, personable, and perfectly in tune with the relaxed atmosphere.
To start things off, we went for 2 Buckets of Michelob Ultras, because what’s better than cold beer and good company? The drinks were icy and the bucket deal made it an easy win.
Food-wise, The Troff really brought the flavor. The Cajun Grilled Dozen Oysters Special stood out — bold, smoky, and seasoned just right, with that little kick that Cajun lovers crave. The 10 Wing Special was another hit, cooked crispy on the outside and tender inside. We went mild, but the flavor didn’t hold back. Adding Rajun Cajun Garlic Butter and a side of ranch was the perfect move — every bite was packed with flavor.
We couldn’t resist topping off the night with a couple of Jello shots, because, well, it’s The Troff — you have to have a little fun.
The total came to around $77.55, a fair price for a table full of food, drinks, and a good time. Between the hearty plates, the drink specials, and the upbeat service, it’s easy to see why locals love this spot.
The Troff nails that balance between neighborhood hangout and great dining destination. Whether you’re stopping in for wings and beer after work or spending a weekend evening out with friends, it’s the kind of place that always hits the mark.
