I stopped by the Applebee’s on US Highway 441 in Eustis, Florida, and ordered a small collection of familiar staples. If you’re looking for a night that won’t surprise you in any direction, this experience pretty much sums that up.
I had a couple of Michelob Ultras, which were—well, Michelob Ultras. Cold, light, and exactly what you expect. Not much to say there, but they did the job.
Food-wise, the Ultimate Trio gave a decent mix, though nothing stood out dramatically. The Boneless Wings were fine, kind of standard chain-restaurant fare. The Wonton Tacos didn’t cost anything extra based on the receipt, which might be the most exciting part about them—they tasted okay, but they didn’t exactly inspire poetry.
Everything totaled out to $36.86 after tax, which is about average for grabbing some drinks and appetizers at a chain restaurant. Service seemed fine, no real complaints or standout moments.
Overall, the visit was… alright. If you’re hungry, want a light beer, and don’t feel like thinking too hard about anything, Applebee’s delivers consistency. Not amazing, not awful—just comfortably in the middle.
