Whenever we’re cruising out of Port Canaveral, one of our favorite ways to kick off vacation is dinner at Sandbar Sports Grill in Cocoa Beach. It’s laid-back, casual, and has exactly the kind of beach-bar atmosphere we love.
Dinner, Live Music, and One Crazy Thunderstorm
We stopped in for dinner the night before our cruise, and the timing couldn’t have been better. We had barely made it inside and settled into our seats when an insane Florida thunderstorm rolled through!
Thankfully, we were already inside, enjoying the atmosphere while the storm did its thing outside. Between the surfboards, signs covering the walls, TVs, live music, and relaxed crowd, this is the kind of place where we can settle into vacation mode.
How Was the Food?
The food was good! We enjoyed a casual dinner with pizza and fried favorites at the table. The real highlight for us was the atmosphere, with live music and that laid-back Cocoa Beach vibe.
Would We Go Back?
Absolutely! Sandbar Sports Grill is one of our favorite stops the night before a cruise out of Port Canaveral. Even a crazy Florida thunderstorm couldn’t put a damper on our evening!
