The Troff in Eustis is one of those places we’ve returned to because it knows exactly what it wants to be: a casual Florida bar-and-grill with cold drinks, seafood, wings, and a relaxed local atmosphere.

Go for the oysters, wings, buffalo shrimp, beer buckets, and laid-back atmosphere. Across several visits, we’ve found The Troff to be a dependable spot for a casual night out with friends or family.
The Oysters
Oysters are one of the main reasons The Troff stands out for us. We’ve had both steamed oysters and Cajun grilled oysters, and the grilled version was especially memorable: smoky, savory, and seasoned with enough heat to add flavor without overpowering the oysters themselves.
On one visit, a dozen steamed oysters came out fresh and plump. On another, the Cajun grilled dozen became the highlight of a larger group dinner.
Wings, Buffalo Shrimp, and More
The menu gives you plenty of options beyond oysters. We’ve ordered wings in mild and garlic parmesan, buffalo shrimp, Italian chicken with fries and hushpuppies, a steak quesadilla, garlic toast, and plenty of sides.
The buffalo shrimp was one of our favorite non-oyster dishes. The wings have also been consistently satisfying, especially when paired with the Rajun Cajun garlic butter and ranch.
Cold Drinks and a Casual Bar Atmosphere
Beer buckets fit The Troff perfectly. We’ve had buckets with Michelob Ultra and Coors Light, along with soda and a couple of Jello shots on one visit. The overall feel is casual and lively without trying to be polished or formal.
Service
We’ve had good service from several different team members, including Gabriel, Laurie, and John. Across those visits, service was friendly, quick, and well matched to the relaxed atmosphere.
What We Paid
Our totals have varied depending on the size of the group and how much food and drink we ordered. One three-person visit came to about $76 after tax, another dinner was around $78, and a larger six-person meal with oysters, wings, dinners, drinks, and sides came to about $118. Those are examples from our visits rather than current menu pricing.
Bottom Line
The Troff works because it feels comfortable and unpretentious. If you want oysters, wings, cold beer, and a neighborhood-bar atmosphere in Eustis, it is a place we’ve been happy to return to.
