Utopia of the Seas Bahamas Cruise Review: Nassau, CocoCay & a FlowRider Wipeout

Our three-night Royal Caribbean Utopia of the Seas cruise from Port Canaveral with friends, Nassau, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and a hilarious FlowRider wipeout.

Three nights, 10 people, and a Bahamas getaway aboard Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas: exactly the kind of adventure we love at Pirate Life Uncharted.

Setting Sail from Port Canaveral

Ready for our Utopia of the Seas getaway.

There’s something about leaving Port Canaveral with a whole crew of friends that puts you into vacation mode instantly. For three nights, our plans were simple: enjoy the ship, laugh a lot, and make memories.

Nassau and Royal Beach Club Paradise Island

Our Nassau stop included Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, with its palm trees, umbrellas, lounge chairs, and beach-club atmosphere. We’ll be sharing a separate short video of this part of the trip, including a glimpse of Utopia of the Seas in port.

Perfect Day at CocoCay

Perfect Day at CocoCay lived up to its name for us. The island scenery and tropical setting made this one of the standout stops on our three-night adventure. This is the sort of destination that makes you wish you had another day.

The FlowRider Had Other Plans

The FlowRider had other plans for me!

I gave the FlowRider a shot, and let’s just say my surfing career ended with a pretty spectacular wipeout. Getting swept toward the back of the ride turned out to be perfect material for a funny TikTok. Royal Caribbean: 1. Me: 0.

My Casino Donation

Good company, even if the casino didn’t pay out.

I would love to tell you I came home with a jackpot. Instead, I apparently made a charitable contribution to the ship’s casino. No big win, but at least we came home with stories.

Why We’d Do It Again

The best part wasn’t a single attraction or stop. It was experiencing the trip with 10 people. Three nights went by far too quickly, but between Nassau, CocoCay, the FlowRider, and the nonstop laughs, this was an unforgettable getaway. Life’s too short to stay on shore!
