Mellow Mushroom in Mount Dora has worked well for us both as a full lunch stop and as a quick snack break. Between pizza, a steak hoagie, pretzel bites, Mellow Rollz, and dips, we’ve found plenty worth ordering beyond just a whole pie.

We like this location for casual lunches and shareable snacks. The Pick 2 lunch deal, pretzel bites, Peppered Mellow Rollz, beer cheese, garlic aioli, and spicy ranch have all been standouts for us.
Lunch Deal
On one visit, the Pick 2 lunch included a pizza slice with a topping, a half steak hoagie, and BBQ chips. The pizza had the chewy Mellow Mushroom crust we expected, while the steak hoagie made the meal feel substantial enough for lunch.
Pretzel Bites and Mellow Rollz
The pretzel bites have been a repeat favorite. They come out soft, buttery, and salty, and we especially liked them with the beer cheese. On a separate snack-focused visit, we tried Peppered Mellow Rollz with garlic aioli and spicy ranch. The Rollz were soft and well seasoned, and the spicy ranch ended up being one of the better dips on the table.
Service and Atmosphere
Donnie took care of us on both of the visits we wrote about, and service was quick and upbeat. The Mount Dora location has the familiar Mellow Mushroom mix of quirky décor, casual energy, and a setting that works whether you are stopping in for lunch or just splitting appetizers.

One lunch came to about $28 for the food and drinks we ordered, while a smaller snack visit for three people came to about $22 after tax. Those totals reflect our specific visits and may not match current menu prices.
