Old Mill Tavern in Homosassa felt exactly like the kind of relaxed Florida stop we were hoping to find: cold drinks, straightforward bar food, friendly service, and no pressure to make the meal anything fancier than it needed to be.
Quick Take
We had wings, fries, chicken tenders, an Ultra Bucket, and Lemon Drop shots. The food was satisfying, the drinks stayed cold, and the service fit the laid-back Homosassa atmosphere.
Wings, Fries, and Chicken Tenders
The wings came out crisp and well seasoned, the fries were hot and salty, and the chicken tenders had a crunchy exterior with juicy meat inside. It was simple bar food, but it did what we wanted it to do.
Drinks and Atmosphere
The Ultra Bucket kept the beers cold through the afternoon, and the Lemon Drop shots gave us a sweet-and-tart finish. The tavern felt lively without becoming hectic.
Service and Price
Caresha made the visit easygoing from start to finish. Our total was around $64 for the food and drinks we ordered, which felt reasonable for the portions and experience at the time.
Bottom Line
Old Mill Tavern was a comfortable, unpretentious stop for us. If we were back in Homosassa and wanted wings, drinks, and a casual local atmosphere, we would consider returning. Compare it with our waterfront stop in the Homosassa Restaurant Guide.
