Quick Picks
- Wings and family-friendly sports-bar feel: Gator’s Dockside
- Oysters, wings, and cold beer: The Troff
- Flatbread and cocktails: That Place
- Predictable chain meal: Applebee’s
Gator’s Dockside
Gator’s Dockside in Eustis is a dependable choice for us when we want wings, beer, pretzel bites, kids’ meals, and a casual sports-bar setting. We’ve visited more than once, which makes it one of the stronger examples on this list for consistency.
The Troff
The Troff is where we would look first if oysters are part of the plan. We’ve had steamed and Cajun grilled oysters, buffalo shrimp, wings, beer buckets, and a relaxed neighborhood-bar atmosphere across several visits.
That Place
That Place worked well for a laid-back night with a customized Margarita Flatbread, Florida Teas, and a beer bucket. It felt more like a casual local hangout than a destination restaurant, which was part of the appeal.
Applebee’s
Applebee’s in Eustis landed squarely in the middle for us. The Ultimate Trio, boneless wings, wonton tacos, and cold beer were fine, but nothing stood out enough to make it a special trip. If you want familiar and predictable, it did the job.
Where Would We Go First?
For wings and a family-friendly sports-bar meal, Gator’s Dockside. For oysters and a more local bar-and-grill feel, The Troff. For drinks and a flatbread, That Place. If familiarity matters more than discovering something new, Applebee’s remains the predictable option.
We’ll keep adding to this Eustis restaurant guide as we try more places and revisit the ones already here.
