T-REX Disney Springs Review: What We’d Order Again

Our T-REX Disney Springs review covers the sampler appetizer, French onion soup, dinosaur atmosphere, service, and what we would order again.

Food at T-REX restaurant in Disney Springs

T-REX at Disney Springs is obviously built around the dinosaur theme, but our visit showed us there are a couple of food choices worth considering even if the atmosphere is what gets you through the door.

Quick Take

If you do not want a full entrée, the sampler appetizer and French onion soup were the two items that stood out most to us.

Sampler Appetizer

The sampler was large enough to share and included boneless wings, quesadillas, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. Nothing was especially adventurous, but it all arrived hot and properly cooked.

French Onion Soup

The French onion soup was the surprise favorite. The broth was rich without being overly salty, the cheese was properly melted and browned, and the bread held up instead of immediately turning to mush.

Atmosphere and Service

The prehistoric theme is the obvious reason many families choose T-REX. Service can depend heavily on how crowded Disney Springs is, but the food we ordered was better than we expected from a highly themed restaurant.

Bottom Line

If we returned, we would be comfortable ordering the sampler and French onion soup again. They gave us enough food to enjoy the experience without committing to a large entrée.
