Grabbed takeout from China Garden the other night. I got chicken fried rice, an egg roll, sweet and sour chicken, and beef on a stick.
The fried rice was alright—not greasy, had some decent chunks of chicken, but kind of bland unless you added soy sauce. The egg roll was hot and crispy, nothing to complain about there. Sweet and sour chicken was just okay. The sauce was the usual bright red kind, and the chicken was more breading than meat.
The beef on a stick, though, was rough. It was dry, tough to chew, and just didn’t taste fresh. Definitely wouldn’t get that again.
Overall, it was an average meal. Not terrible, but not something I’d go out of my way for either.
