Fresh Sushi & Solid Hibachi at Kawachi in Leesburg

Stopped in for lunch at Kawachi and the food was excellent across the board.

Here’s what we had:

Spicy Yellowtail Sushi – Fresh and had a good kick. The fish was buttery and clean, not chewy or fishy.

Spicy Shrimp Sushi – Another hit. Shrimp had a nice texture and the spice level was just right—noticeable but not overwhelming.

Spicy Tuna Roll – Classic and well-executed. Rice was the right temperature and consistency, and the tuna tasted fresh.

Hibachi Lunch Combos (Steak, Chicken, Shrimp) – Great variety and cooked well. Steak was tender, chicken juicy, and the shrimp wasn’t overdone. The veggies were crisp and the fried rice had good flavor.

Hibachi Filet Mignon Lunch – Worth the upgrade. The filet was surprisingly tender for the price point and cooked to the right temp. Solid portion, too.

Service was fast and polite, and everything came out hot. The place was clean and relaxed—good spot for a weekday lunch or a casual dinner.
