Kawachi Leesburg Review: Sushi, Hibachi & Filet Mignon

Our Kawachi Leesburg review covers spicy sushi, hibachi combinations, filet mignon lunch, service, portions, and why we would return.

Spicy sushi selections at Kawachi in Leesburg Florida

Kawachi in Leesburg gave us a strong lunch with both sushi and hibachi, making it a good fit when the table wants a little of everything.

Quick Take

We liked the spicy yellowtail, spicy shrimp, spicy tuna roll, hibachi combinations, and filet mignon lunch. The food came out hot, service was quick, and the restaurant felt clean and relaxed.

Sushi

The spicy yellowtail was fresh with a noticeable kick, the spicy shrimp had good texture, and the spicy tuna roll was a solid classic with well-prepared rice.

Hibachi Lunch Combos

We tried combinations with steak, chicken, and shrimp. The steak was tender, the chicken stayed juicy, and the shrimp was not overcooked. Vegetables stayed crisp, and the fried rice had good flavor.

Filet Mignon Lunch

The filet mignon lunch was worth the upgrade for us. The meat was tender, cooked properly, and came in a satisfying portion.

Bottom Line

Kawachi worked well for a weekday lunch because it gave us both sushi and hibachi without sacrificing quality on either side of the menu. We would return.
