We’ve stayed in several hotels and cabins across Tennessee, from Nashville to Chattanooga and the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. This guide brings those stays together so you can compare what worked for us, what didn’t, and which places we would choose again.

Quick Picks
- Pigeon Forge hotel we’d stay at again: Holiday Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge Convention Center
- Downtown Nashville location: Home2 Suites Nashville Downtown
- Best included extras: Drury Plaza Hotel Chattanooga
- Private-pool cabin: Splashing in the Breeze
- Stay we chose to leave: Hampton Inn Pigeon Forge On The Parkway
Holiday Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge Convention Center
Holiday Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge Convention Center ended up rescuing a stressful night after we left another hotel. The room felt clean and updated, the property was comfortable for our family, the amenities we expected were working, and the staff made a last-minute check-in easy.
Hampton Inn Pigeon Forge On The Parkway
Hampton Inn Pigeon Forge On The Parkway was the opposite experience for us. A strong room odor, a dated feel, and unavailable or non-working amenities were enough that we chose not to stay. The staff was courteous, but the property was not a fit for our family on that visit.
Splashing in the Breeze Cabin
Splashing in the Breeze in Sevierville had plenty of wow factor: a modern cabin, mountain setting, private indoor pool, and hot tub. Our main concern was the strong chlorine smell and ventilation in the pool room. We liked the property overall, but that issue mattered enough that we would want it improved before calling the stay exceptional.
Home2 Suites Nashville Downtown
Home2 Suites Nashville Downtown worked because of the location. We could walk to Broadway and downtown attractions, then come back to a hotel that felt calmer than the entertainment district itself. Friendly staff, lobby games, and a rooftop pool added to the stay.
Drury Plaza Hotel Chattanooga
Drury Plaza Hotel Chattanooga stood out for value. The property felt fresh during our stay, and the included evening food, drinks, and breakfast made the experience feel like more than just a room.
Which Tennessee Stay Would We Pick?
For Pigeon Forge, Holiday Inn & Suites Convention Center is the one we would choose again based on our experience. For downtown Nashville, Home2 Suites gave us the location we wanted. In Chattanooga, Drury Plaza offered the strongest package of included extras. If the trip is more about cabin time and a private pool, Splashing in the Breeze is the completely different option.
We’ll keep updating this Tennessee hotel and cabin guide as we add more stays.
